The Happenings at Trinity

Welcome to our New Parish Secretary: Amie Abenth!

Please stop by our office to meet our new Parish Secretary, Amie Abenth. Amie is new to the area, moving here this past February from Fort Collins, Colorado.

However, Amie is no stranger to the Cook/Orr/Silverdale area. Want to know more? Stop in and meet her!

Amie will be working Wednesdays-Fridays preparing our Sunday bulletins, Monthly newsletter and generally keeping us connected with one another. She can be reached at aabenth@trinitycook.org

Welcome Amie!
Renovations at Trinity

Update from Congregational Meeting on July 23, 2008

Work has resumed on the final detailed drawings for the Renovation Project. The milestone most recently passed was the completion of the detailed kitchen plan. This plan was the fruit of a Task Force headed by Eric Stoller and including many involved members of the congregation.

The detailed kitchen plan is now in the hands of the mechanical and electrical engineers for integration into the overall plan. The architectural group expects to be fully completed with their work by Labor Day, at which time the fully completed plans can be handed over to Kraus Anderson.

Kraus Anderson will then begin work on estimating the cost of this project using the latest construction costs available and working with us on planning the most cost effective way to attack this project. We should be able to have cost information available to congregational review sometime in the Fall of this year.

Because of the unexpected delay in the development of the full plan, it is most likely that construction will not begin before the Spring of 2009. This timing will allow the members of Trinity the fullest opportunity to get organized on attacking this project with the least disruption in church activities and the fullest use of our own labor resources.

Questions and Comments on Renovation can be directed to Pastor Melissa, Council President, Bill Tibbetts, or Renovation Chair, Bill Conger.

Calling All Musicians!
In August, we are hoping to try a new style of music here at Trinity. As we explore the musical traditions of Gospel, Praise and Folk in our Sunday Worships.

We are seeking to gather any and all musicians to create this musical style. If you play anything from guitar, bass, drums, kazoo or slide whistle, we want you! Join us at our mid-week Wednesdays at the Parsonage to vision this into being! Bring your instruments and plan to play and vision, especially on July 23!

Please contact Pastor Melissa by email or call 666-5965 to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
