Renovations at Trinity
Update from Congregational Meeting on July 23, 2008
Work has resumed on the final detailed drawings for the Renovation Project. The milestone most recently passed was the completion of the detailed kitchen plan. This plan was the fruit of a Task Force headed by Eric Stoller and including many involved members of the congregation.
The detailed kitchen plan is now in the hands of the mechanical and electrical engineers for integration into the overall plan. The architectural group expects to be fully completed with their work by Labor Day, at which time the fully completed plans can be handed over to Kraus Anderson.
Kraus Anderson will then begin work on estimating the cost of this project using the latest construction costs available and working with us on planning the most cost effective way to attack this project. We should be able to have cost information available to congregational review sometime in the Fall of this year.
Because of the unexpected delay in the development of the full plan, it is most likely that construction will not begin before the Spring of 2009. This timing will allow the members of Trinity the fullest opportunity to get organized on attacking this project with the least disruption in church activities and the fullest use of our own labor resources.
Questions and Comments on Renovation can be directed to Pastor Melissa, Council President, Bill Tibbetts, or Renovation Chair, Bill Conger.
